Mr. Roof graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1983.
Mr. Roof is an officer of the International Bar Association and an Adjunct professor of Law at the University of Miami School of Law. He serves on the Air and Space Committee of the American Bar Association, the Aviation Committee of the Inter-American Bar Association, the Aviation Committee of the Florida Bar, and the Dade Aviation Alliance. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the Dade County, Federal, American and Inter-American Bar Associations.
Mr. Roof served as a legislative aide to Congressman Robert Krueger in the United States House of Representatives, and subsequently worked in the Legal Department at the Organization of American States in Washington, DC.
